I cannot resist…for those of you who want the look and feel fo this conference, here is a message just in from my constituency – the research NGO (RINGO) about how we can even get into the center. We all thought that we registered and got in. Then came the “secondary badges.”
Ok we could deal with that. But now after several times a day changes and iterations we get this (see below.) There is no earthly way to ge real work accomplished in a context like this.
Many events and focal groups have moved offsite and the Copenhagen Business School has offered closed circuit tv broadcasts of all the sessions and press sessions. The school is literally across the square from the flat I rented. Humm I wonder what I should do? That’s a hard one…especially because they may not even let us in tomorrow.
“Dear Members of the RINGO Constituency,

We are sorry that we cannot provide more information at the moment, but there are still many uncertainties. We are doing our utmost to arrange things as well as possible for you. We will let you know as soon as we hear more.

Lynn,
After reading your first comments I have to say you are quite the truper. Just you being there in the midst of these critical meetings along with other world professionals is comforting. The world press on on this event means the the awareness is growing. Thanks for being there and I can’t wait to hear your personal views when you return. Great pictures. Keep the shutter clicking.

Thank you, Mick,
And you are absolutely correct about the value of world attention to climate change. Not only that, but we now have official record from 193 countries and over 100 heads of state as to agreement THAT it is real and that attention must be given to solutions. We will most certainly debrief upon my return.
